Garden-to-Table Program:
The Garden to Table Program allows youth the opportunity to plant seeds in our garden, harvest our crops, and prepare food with resources provided by mother nature and their own hands in our kitchen, providing youth with a valuable resource to feed themselves and their families throughout the course of their lifetimes.
The youth learn about kitchen safety during their preparation time.
They further learn skills not taught in most classrooms or homes that include blanching, canning, and pickling.
